In recent years, the focus on Cyber Resilience has dramatically increased, with influential individuals and leading bodies highlighting how preventative measures are no longer sufficient to safeguard organisations from data breaches and ransomware attacks.

Over 5 billion data breaches were reported in the UK in 2021, with over 85% of organisations experiencing a successful attack and 71% of organisations being affected by ransomware.

Considering the success of these attacks has only been growing year on year to reach this staggering figure, the sole emphasis for a cybersecurity policy can no longer be solely on defence.

Organisations must explore practical solutions to weaken the attack's impact and invest in solutions that mitigate the aftereffects to drastically reduce downtime, loss of revenue, and impacted reputation. In other words, companies need to explore effective Cyber Resilience strategies.
