The latest from the Green Team

We all know the predictions of climate catastrophe: unless we reduce global carbon emissions to net zero in the next 20 years. Well, it seems organisations are taking these predictions seriously. Many industry leaders are realising that addressing their carbon footprint is a clear demonstration of their commitment to corporate social responsibility and operating as truly ethical companies (as well the survival of humankind!). For instance, Google and Apple are aiming to be carbon neutral by 2030, while Unilever aims to be net zero by 2039.

This is very welcome, especially in light of the fact that over 1,290 companies worldwide have committed to, or are currently setting targets for, reducing their emissions to achieve the ambitions of the Paris Agreement of 2016 (source: Science Based Targets).

Indeed, teams at both Exponential-e and our partner network have already noticed this shift first-hand, having been asked by organisations ranging from housing associations to schools and colleges if we’re ISO 140001 (Environmental Management) and ISO50001 (Energy Management) compliant. And the response is in the affirmative, as Exponential-e very recently maintained our accreditations in both ISO standards, helping us and our customers reap the far-reaching benefits of lower carbon emissions.
