The Solution

Vysiion supplied the Business Cyber Centre with two lines – a primary supply and a failover – equipped with diverse routes to provide optimal security, performance, and resilience. This was designed to not only meet the project’s immediate requirements, but provide ample scope for future scalability, ensuring the Business Cyber Centre would be able to accommodate all businesses across the region who would make use of its services in the future.

A dedicated account team from Vysiion worked closely with teams from SWLEP, both on and off-site, to ensure that the equipment selected would not only meet all technical requirements, but would also be readily available, ensuring any potential supply chain issues would not delay the designated launch day and that budgets would be adhered to. This meant the project specifications went

through several iterations, based on direct feedback from Vysiion’s experts, but would eventually result in an efficient, timely deployment of all the required hardware, completed within a month.

With the physical aspects of the solution in place, the emphasis moved towards ensuring the inherent security of the site, in order to allow businesses from a range of sectors – all with highly specific compliance obligations – to take full advantage of the wide range of opportunities on offer. This collaboration proved invaluable during the Business Cyber Centre’s assessment for the Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, with its eventual success providing tangible evidence of the highest security standards across all areas of their operation.

The launch of the Business Cyber Centre is set to establish a new standard of cyber resilience and awareness across Swindon and Wiltshire, with the physical infrastructure and cyber security experience delivered by Vysiion supporting a dynamic environment in which SMEs can develop their capabilities and – ultimately – ensure the longevity of their businesses.
